1. 30% of Honduran people suffer a mental disorder
Despite conservative calculation about mental disorders in Honduran people, specialist of Psychiatric Hospital Mario Mendoza, Aaron Rodríguez, declared that at least 30% of the population suffer a mental health disorder in Honduras.
2. Public Health Ministry warns doctors
The Public Health Ministry warned today that won´t pay the strike days to doctors who hold paralyze the medical attention in public hospitals of Honduras. The Medical Association asks 340 million Lempiras for delay salary and bonus.
3. Education Ministry report child abuse
Between three and four cases of child abuse from teachers were reported to the Public Ministry by Education´s authorities. Those teachers will be separated from their offices in public institutes, declared the Minister Marlon Escoto.
4. Army destroyed illegal landing strip
The National Army destroyed at least 10 illegal landing strips in La Mosquitia, department of Gracias a Dios, east of Honduras.
As part of Armadillo Operation, Honduran Army destroyed more of 60 landing strips since 2012.
