The Honduran National Police
captured this morning two suspects of the murder of a Guatemalan family, including two girls, in the department of Copan, western of Honduras.
PM opens investigation related to 'Chapo' Guzman
The Public Ministry reported Monday the beginning of an investigation
to determine if the Mexican drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman has assets in Honduras.
Ecuadorians detained in border with Guatemala
At least 20 Ecuadorians and five Hondurans were detained in a blind spot of the border with Guatemala, as they prepared to cross to reach the United States. The foreigners will be presented at the Immigration Department.
Alert by geological instability
An indefinite green alert has been declared today by geological instability in the community of The Planon, Las Flores, Lempira in western Honduras. Emergency Committee conducts studies in the area where landslides could be recorded in a few hours.
Custodio annunces aspiration for re-election
The current National Human Rights Commissioner of Honduras (CONADEH), Ramón Custodio, issued Monday its aspiration to run for re-election to a third term. Besides Custodio, 12 other candidates will be postulated.
