INA will investigate irregular acts

The National Agrarian Institute (INA) appointed this Tuesday a technical committee to investigate details of the course title to land that the former director Cesar Ham was awarded in the administrative management of Neptalí Medina. Meanwhile, Ham said that will submit a letter this day to canceled this process and clear his name.

One person dies every eight hours in a traffic accident

Traffic accidents are still the second leading cause of violent death in Honduras. According to the Observatory of Violence (UNAH) National University, every eight hours someone dies in traffic accidents in the country.

IHADFA support 'dry law'

Honduran Institute for the Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction director, Rony Portillo, declared his support to the 'dry law' ordered by the Government of Honduras. Portillo noted that excessive alcohol consumption in Honduras generates fatalities in traffic accidents and violence, mainly in the interior.

Homicides are going down: Corrales

The Security Minister Arturo Corrales Álvarez, said Monday that the decline in the numbers of homicides in Honduras is strong in recent years. According to Corrales, crimes decreased due approval of 23 laws by the National Congress.

Pavón dismiss be nominated by Hernández

The Chairman of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CODEH), Andrés Pavón, reject that had been nominated for the position of the National Commissioner for Human Rights by President Juan Orlando Hernández, but he said that he could be nominated by Members of Congress.
