Homicide rate decreases 5.8 percent
According the Violence Observatory of the National University of Honduras (UNAH), the homicide rate decreased 5.8 percent in 2013, compared to 2012. The report number 32 argues that the homicide rate dropped to 79 per 100 thousand inhabitants.
Government order 'Dry law'
Honduran government ordered this Monday establish a 'dry law', a prohibition of the sale and buy alcohol between 5:00 pm on Sundays and 6:00 am on Mondays in all the country. The decree has to be publish for each local government.
Honduras inaugurates campaign against dengue
The president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández,
inaugurated this morning the national campaign against dengue in
Jesús Milla Selva High school of Tegucigalpa. Hernandez called to maintain clean containers with water, to prevent the spread of dengue.
Public transportation finance organized crime
Over 15,000 buses and taxis of Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula finance organized crime in Honduras through the payment of 'war tax' and extortion to gangs, according to the Ministry of Security.
ENEE accuse defaulters on Public Ministry
The National Electricity Company (ENEE) presented to the Public Ministry, 40 records of defaulters who steal energy in different sectors of the capital of Honduras. The debt is seven million Lempiras.
