CANCÚN, MÉXICO.- Los narcocorridos, canciones populares mexicanas que ensalzan al narcotráfico, quedaron proscritos en Cancún, meca del turismo en México, donde autoridades y comerciantes endurecieron el veto a su difusión pública con el argumento de que atrae a “gente violenta”.
La censura, aplicada en el marco del vigente reglamento municipal de espectáculos públicos que prohíbe eventos que inciten a la violencia, aguó la fiesta a seguidores de artistas como Grupo Firme -uno de los más populares de México-, que canceló un concierto previsto para el 1 de junio.
“Cada vez que hay un evento como estos la realidad es que existen conatos de violencia”, dijo el martes Jorge Aguilar Osorio, funcionario del estado de Quintana Roo, donde queda Cancún.
