1. Penal responsibility for fire in Comayagua prison

The Penal Court in Comayagua sent to prison to former director and three ex policemen from the Comayagua penitentiary where 361 prisoners died burned on February 14, 2012. With this resolution, the Court confirms penal responsibility in the fire, one of the worst in Latin American jails.

2. Fire in factory in northeast of Honduran capital

A raging fire was registered this morning in a furniture factory located in principal street in the Bella Vista neighborhood, Comayagüela. The fire started at 9:45 AM, confirm the Firemen Department. Seven fire engines were needed to control the flames behind the Jesús Aguilar Paz institute.

3. Five more assets seized in San Pedro Sula

The Public Ministry, Honduran Army and National Police seized this Tuesday five more properties linked to 'Los Cachiros' in San Pedro Sula, north of Honduras. The luxury houses are located in Municipal, Villa McKay and Del Valle neighborhoods in that city. More than 90 assets have been seized since last Thursday.

4. IHSS stops attention to renal patients

For the second time in this week, the renal patients protested in the specialties hospital of the Social Security in Tegucigalpa. The patients demand to authorities of that medical institution, provide the service of renal dialysis that stops today.

5. Weather alert by 13 of 18 Honduran departments

Honduras emergency committee (Copeco) declared a weather warning in 13 of 18 Honduran departments because forecast rains in the center, south, west and north of the country. The departments under warning, that ends tomorrow at 5:00 PM, are: Gracias a Dios, Olancho, El Paraíso, Cortés, Copán, Ocotepeque, Santa Bárbara, Lempira, Intibucá, Comayagua, Francisco Morazán, Choluteca y Valle.
